Mission
It will be the mission of the Moody Fire Department to protect life and property, and to promote public safety by meeting and exceeding our community’s needs and expectations in any situation when called upon. We will maintain a state of readiness at all times. We will also recognize that the citizens and community we serve is the reason for our presence. The Moody Fire Department will provide prompt and effective fire suppression, advanced emergency medical services, response to rescues, natural disasters and promote public safety through fire prevention, investigation and education programs.

The community of Moody, with 13,855 residents, is served by a single fire station that spans 26 miles. The fire department boasts a dedicated team of 18 full-time and 10 part-time personnel, including 15 paramedics. Additionally, the department is structured with a Lieutenant responsible for Inspections/Investigations and a Captain overseeing Operations.
Service
- October is Fire Prevention Month. The department gives lectures and hands on activities to all schools and preschools in the city of Moody.
- Months of November and December the department is active in the “Toys for Kids” Campaign.
- Blood pressure checks for walk-ins.
- Fire inspections yearly for businesses
- Fire inspections on request for residential
- Smoke and fire alarms inspections on request
- CPR classes are taught
